Ms. Linda F. Lamb holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Tennessee State University, a Masters Degree in Human Development/Counseling from Vanderbilt University of Tennessee and a Certified Life Coach through the Upgrading Life Seminars and Training. Ms. Lamb is the original founder of the Life’s Star Project Inc., a non-profit organization that was founded in 1989 to assist at risk youth and their families in achieving life goals. Currently, she is the Director of Brightside Consulting Services which provides parenting classes, life coaching and consulting. She is also the author of the parenting book called “Empowered to Change.” In continuing her vision of developing social education in the field of parenting, Ms. Lamb embarked on courses that would lead to her ultimate destiny.
Ms. Lamb completed the “Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting” (MAPP) training provided by the Department of Family and Children Services in Decatur GA. She also received a certificate for the Improvement of Child Care’s Effective Black Parenting Program and Parenting God’s Way from the Family Nurturing Center of Georgia. Covering an even broader range, she completed training as a Certified Mediator of conflict management (conducted by the Justice Center of Atlanta Georgia). In 1995, Ms. Lamb was honored as a recipient of the Unsung Shero Award by the Concern Black Clergy and given a Community Service Award from the Delta Chapter of the Iota Lambda Sorority Incorporated.
Through Brightside Consulting Services, parents participate in a series of workshops designed to foster better communications and to unify the family.
